Mission Statement:

We are a collaborative effort of area businesses, churches, organizations and volunteers committed to providing counseling, life skills training, job search assistance and  transitional housing programs to assist women and children experiencing life crisis.

At Branches, our goal is to help Monroe County women be who they want to be.

We do this by helping them develop a plan to follow to make it where they want to go in life, providing a positive environment to learn the personal and life skills they will need to make the journey, and giving them the support and encouragement they need while they travel.

Branches of Monroe County started as the vision of Denise Hill.  She knew she was meant to do more with her life for her community and neighbors. After spending weeks praying to God for an assignment, a mission, a goal of what He wanted her to do with her life, He sent her Branches of Monroe County in November, 2008.

Supported largely through generous donations throughout the community and Branches Thrift Store and Gallery Boutique

We currently have residential housing to accommodate up to 28 women and children in need of an affordable temporary housing program designed to help residents achieve self-sufficiency.

Please call 423.442.8644 for information about our services and to inquire about volunteer opportunities.

Branches of Monroe County, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity which relies solely upon the generosity and talents of our community. Currently, we are in the process of raising funds to finish purchasing the commercial building that houses our programs, office, and retail space in Madisonville. To contribute to the building fund, please go to our Donations link (above) and select "Purchase a Brick." Each of these donations is honored with a brass plaque with the name of the donor or a person in whose honor the brick is donated.
