Who We Are

Branches of   Monroe County  was founded in 2009 by Executive Director, Denise Hill.  With the  help of  many dedicated volunteers, Branches provides shelter to women and their dependent children fleeing domestic violence.

While in shelter, Branches offers the women case management, job search assistance, and  life skills training.  Once they are ready, to move out of the shelter, Branches can offer affordable transitional housing for the women for up to 12 months. Branches offers a women an opportunity for independence.

  PAWS PROGRAM

Branches understands that nearly 75% of women report that they won't leave a violent situation because they don't want to leave behind a family pet for fear that it will be abused. We make it possible for some pets to come to Branches with the women and children we serve.

We have plans in place to build an on-site kennel for larger pets to be able to stay so that families will not be separated from their beloved pets when they are staying at Branches. If you are interested in helping with the Paws Program, you can donate funds for our kennel or items from our

Paws Wish List

 2. Collars /Leashes
